Family sculpture day is a free event held annually at Saltwell Park Gateshead.

We provide tonnes of wood, tools and all the nails you need. Eight
professional artists will be on hand to help you create and capture your
ideas in wood.The event also features the exciting art of Raku Pottery.
Using the ancient Japanese technique, you can paint your tile with
special glazes, watch it being fired in the kiln and then take it home
as a souvenir of your day. Live music will add further to the atmosphere
with hammer tapping rhythms.
