Student comments:
'Having started pottery lessons at Muddy Fingers pottery about 4 years ago, I now have the abilities and confidence to be able to sell my own work at markets and shows in the area. Marvin is a motivational and inspirational person who is fully committed to getting the best out of each student and helping them to fulfill their project ambitions. He will teach you techniques from beginners to advanced and there is a fully equipped workshop to do this in. Whatever you fancy making and whatever method you want to use, he will make it happen.'
Diane (Earthy Pleasures Pottery)
'I came to the classes without any experience of pottery-making, but soon found them a central feature of the week. I learned a great deal about appreciating as well as working with ceramics. The relatively fluid and unstructured nature of the classes meant that it was possible to learn about and experiment with a wider range of styles and techniques than in a more formal lesson-by-lesson setting. The knowledge and enthusiasm shared by Marv and by the more experienced members of the class made it a true education. Not to mention the friendly atmosphere, conversation, and tea!'
Rachel
'Been going to Muddy Fingers Pottery for a while now, each session is as diversified and busy as you choose - Marv is on hand to inspire, direct, advise, there's plenty of demos suggesting new techniques or you can ignore all that and make whatever you choose! and with excellent value for money and lovely people for company, it's always an enjoyable way to spend an evening :)'
